Spring CFG Retreat Friday, March 5 - pudong campus

Participant Feedback:
Warm feedback
- people happy with the agenda
- happy with the format of everyone presenting or facilitating: "The decision to have us all participate in a facilitation or presentation was very valuable."
- happy with 1 day instead of 2 days
- strongly communicated that the smaller size (8 people) really promoted this type of work. - "The environment was safe and authentic."
- people felt they walked away empowered, filled with new ideas, and not exhausted.
- loved the Ted Talk video and World Cafe around that instead of reading a text
- "It is easy to think relax time takes away from student learning, but I can't see how today couldn't benefit this goal. (student learning).
- "Participants valued the opportunity to not only move through new protocols, but also discuss facilitation of those protocols.
- "I would like to be able to do this on a more regular basis (once per quarter)"

Cool Feedback
- "Good retreat, but was seriously wanted to learn some CFG Ninja Tactics."

Facilitator Feedback:
Warm Feedback
- With the number of 8 people we were almost immediately able to enter into work.
- This smaller number also just had a more relaxed, safe, and authentic environment for doing CFG work.
- Garden room on Pudong Campus was a good space for our size. (The room with couches)
- The 1 day instead of 2 was so nice, especially with this smaller number of 8. Having just 1 day together seemed to create an environment that was special and united. There was a real drive behind what we were doing. (AHL - 5-7 with one facilitator)
- Danka and Jason provided fruit, crackers and cheese, brownies, nuts, and a round of coffees for everyone presented on a table with a cloth and a candle. That addition to our space. It helped set the mood that this was a special place; out of the oridinary meeting space that we usually book.

Cool feedback:
- Accompanying those positive feelings of being together for just 1 day, was a stronger demand for us to be conscious of time.. We feel the way to attend to this is to have a well thought out agenda with the willingness to adapt that agenda to the needs of the group as the day progresses.
- In our last protocol for the day, we ran short on time to effectively to debrief the protocol and the facilitation of the protocol.

AHL - Scaffolding, allows people to experience and mimic a true CFG.
